About Me

Founder: Ayana Martin is a ball of sunshine, energy, and questions. She will try (almost) anything once and always has an awesome story to tell. She was cultivated in Sunny SoCal in the City of Roses (Pasadena, Ca), but knew at age 10 that she wanted to see the world. She started on her first journey into the world when she attended Benedict College all the way across the country, with no friends or family nearby, where she graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  She has since visited two foreign countries for both work and play. Currently, she is still questioning the universe as a PhD graduate student in Molecular Medicine and Translational Science.  When she is not researching, she is mom to 2 rescue dogs, taking dance lessons, singing in (and out of) the shower, globetrotting, and borrowing ideas from movies and books for her next great adventure.

    • Hi Jessica! We are so glad you found us too! I went to Hamilton College and was awarded the Bristol Fellowship that supports a one year, self-designed, independent project outside the US to graduating seniors (US citizens and international students).
